This will include estimating emissions from various industrialsectors, conducting technical and cost-benefit assessments of different typesof boilers, and analysing the existing industrial policy and institutionalframeworks at both regional and national levels. The role demands stronganalytical skills, policy writing capabilities, and a foundationalunderstanding of industrial systems and pollution control technologies.Jobduties and accountabilitiesResearchand Analysis· Conductliterature reviews on environmental regulations, emissions monitoring, andindustrial decarbonisation strategies.· Analysedata from secondary sources (government portals, policy databases, industrysubmissions) to support policy recommendations.· Assist ininterpreting data from continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS),
andassessing the effectiveness of regulatory interventions.· Draftbackground notes, memos, and analytical summaries for internal and externaluse.TechnicalUnderstanding and Policy Translation· Workclosely with researchers to understand technical concepts (e.g., boilerefficiency, emission factors, abatement technologies) and translate them intoclear, accessible insights.· Supportdevelopment of policy briefs, blogs, and reports by synthesising technicalfindings and aligning them with policy context.· Trackregulatory developments across states and sectors relevant to industrialpollution.StakeholderEngagement and Communication· Preparepresentations and visual material for internal discussions and externalengagements.· Supportorganisation of stakeholder meetings, including background research anddocumentation.· Maintaincommunication records and follow-up notes from consultations.Selection CriteriaPursuing or recently completed Bachelor's/Master's in:· PublicPolicy / Environmental Studies / Economics, or· Engineeringdisciplines (Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation) withdemonstrated interest in public policy.Key Skills and Competencies· Strongwriting and analytical skills; ability to produce policy-relevant outputs.· Basicunderstanding of industrial emissions, environmental regulations, and cleantechnology.· Comfortwith handling technical content (e.g., emission norms, abatement systems).· Familiaritywith MS Excel, Google Workspace; knowledge of R/Python is a plus.· Ability towork independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.· Willingnessto travel for field visits and stakeholder interviews (if needed).CEEW operates in a dynamic environment and thecandidate will be required to show flexibility in undertaking a variety oftasks.
