We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Consultant in Radiology
to join our medical imaging department. This role is well-suited for fresh postgraduates or early-career radiologists looking to build their career in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Consultant Radiologist, you will play a critical role in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds to aid in accurate patient diagnosis and management. You will also collaborate with referring physicians, supervise imaging staff, and ensure high standards of safety and quality in radiological practices.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging & Reporting
Interpret and analyze medical images including
X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds (USG)
to identify diseases, injuries, and abnormalities.
Prepare and deliver accurate, detailed, and timely radiology reports to assist clinicians in patient management.
Provide second opinions and clarify findings when required.
Clinical Collaboration
Work closely with referring physicians and specialists to provide diagnostic insights that guide treatment decisions.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute radiological expertise to case discussions.
Procedural Expertise
Perform image-guided procedures such as
biopsies, drainages, and therapeutic injections
, ensuring precision and patient safety.
Support interventional radiology procedures as per clinical requirements and skill competency.
Quality & Safety Assurance
Ensure imaging quality by reviewing and validating scans for accuracy and consistency.
Enforce strict compliance with
radiation safety protocols
to protect patients, staff, and self.
Monitor the use of imaging equipment and recommend calibration, maintenance, or upgrades when required.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and imaging reports.
Ensure compliance with medical, legal, and ethical standards in radiology practice.
Contribute to quality assurance audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional Development & Leadership
Supervise, train, and guide radiologic technologists, residents, and junior staff as needed.
Stay updated with
advancements in radiologic technology, imaging software, and diagnostic practices
.
Participate in departmental meetings, research initiatives, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Education:
MBBS with MD/DNB in
Radiology
(or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Fresh graduates and candidates with early-career experience (0+ years) are encouraged to apply.
Technical Competencies:
Robust knowledge of radiological modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound (USG), and X-rays.
Ability to interpret imaging studies with precision and attention to detail.
Familiarity with image-guided procedures and interventional techniques (preferred but not mandatory).
Soft Skills:
