We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Specialist / Accounts Receivable professional to join our agile Finance team. This role is critical in managing revenue recognition, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and financial reporting—particularly within a subscription-based (SaaS) revenue model.
Key Responsibilities :
Revenue Recognition:




Manage end-to-end revenue recognition in accordance with
US GAAP
and
ASC 606
Ensure accurate and timely recognition of software subscription and other recurring revenue streams
Maintain compliance with internal policies and external audit standards
Invoicing & Collections:
Oversee the full invoicing process—from generation to delivery—with accuracy and timeliness
Monitor aging accounts receivable and proactively manage collections
Investigate and resolve billing issues professionally and efficiently
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for client billing inquiries
Provide prompt, clear, and professional responses
Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal financial procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies and external financial regulations
Reconciliations & Journal Entries:
Perform monthly and ad-hoc account reconciliations.
Prepare and post accurate journal entries with full documentation
Conduct credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Research & Analysis:
Support financial planning and reporting through data-driven insights




Conduct research to inform investor reports and business decisions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting
,
Finance
, or a related field (required)
CPA certification
(strongly preferred)
7–10 years of experience in revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
In-depth knowledge of
US GAAP
and
ASC 606
Proven experience working with
subscription-based revenue models
(SaaS strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience with:

4) Other financial and billing systems
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel
and accounting tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Experience with
investor reporting
is a strong plus
Additional Details:
This role requires presence in the
Bangalore office at least 3 days per week
Must be available to work during
US Pacific Time (PT)
