About the Role:
We are looking for passionate and skilled
L2 Application Support Engineers
with expertise in
AS400 systems
to join our growing team in Bangalore. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support critical enterprise applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate across technical and business teams. Youll be working in a dynamic environment handling production support, application monitoring, and incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve application issues on AS400 platforms using
RPG, COBOL, DB2 SQL, and CL
.
Monitor system health and application performance using tools like
Dynatrace or IBM APM
.
Handle tickets related to access, monitoring, audits, infra issues, and network connectivity.
Perform regular health checks, log reviews, and support nightly job cycles and policy data processing.
Collaborate with stakeholders on financial reporting, document management, claims, and technical premium processing.
Document incidents clearly and maintain audit trails and evidence.
Ensure timely support for critical apps, tools,



and integrations with no front-end dependency.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in
AS400
,
COBOL
,
DB2 SQL
, and command line (CL).
Experience supporting applications in AS400 environments.
Exposure to
audit requests
,
infra alerts
,
access requests
, and
real-time data issues
.
Good communication skillsboth verbal and written.
Preferred (Good to Have):
Experience in the
insurance domain
or legacy AS400 applications.
Familiarity with document management systems and premium processing tools.
Ability to identify incident trends and suggest preventive measures.
Exposure to
.NET-based systems
(optional separate track).
Bonus:
Experience working with
Dynatrace
or
IBM monitoring tools
.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and learn quickly in a quick-paced setup.
