We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled
SAP PI/PO Functional Consultant
with a strong background in SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO). This is a critical role responsible for driving integration strategy, designing end-to-end solutions, and enabling seamless data exchange across SAP and non-SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of hands-on experience in integration projects and must demonstrate in-depth functional understanding, technical knowledge, and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of integration solutions using SAP PI/PO.
Work closely with business users and technical teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Design and develop interfaces to integrate SAP modules with external systems using standard PI/PO tools like ESR, ID, and Runtime Workbench.
Configure and monitor A2A and B2B interfaces using both synchronous and asynchronous communication channels (IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, File, JDBC, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
Ensure adherence to best practices in interface development, security, and performance tuning.
Create detailed technical documentation, unit test plans,



and support integration testing and go-live activities.
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and patching activities by validating and adjusting integration touchpoints.
Contribute to SAP architecture discussions, providing strategic insights into system scalability, optimization, and innovation.
Provide training and mentorship to junior consultants and support teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PI/PO, including at least 3 full-cycle implementations.
Proficiency in message mapping, XSLT mapping, and user-defined functions in Java.
Strong experience with Integration Builder, ESR (Enterprise Services Repository), and Directory tools.
Experience with adapters such as SOAP, REST, SFTP, File, JDBC, and IDoc adapters.
Familiarity with B2B integration, EDI standards, and middleware protocols.
Knowledge of SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) is a robust advantage.
Functional knowledge of SAP modules (FI, SD, MM, etc.) and understanding of related business processes.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
SAP certification in PI/PO is preferred but not mandatory.
