Job Description – Electrical Design Engineer (Industrial Automation)

(Location - Needs to be in Delhi for F2F Interview round)

Annual CTC: ₹6 – 7 Lakhs per Annum (LPA)

Job Summary

Seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in Industrial Automation and Control Panel Design using AutoCAD Electrical. The candidate will be responsible for designing PLC-based control systems, preparing electrical drawings, BOMs, and supporting projects from engineering through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Design electrical schematics, SLDs, control circuits, PLC I/O wiring, panel GA, terminal layouts, cable schedules, and interconnection drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Design PLC, MCC, VFD, PCC, and Remote I/O panels.
- Prepare BOM, material requisitions, and engineering documentation.
- Perform cable sizing, load calculations, circuit breaker, transformer, and power supply selection.
- Coordinate with PLC engineers, project teams, vendors, and panel manufacturers.
- Support commissioning and drawing revisions.

Required Qualification & Technical Skills

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.




- 3–4 years of Industrial Automation/Control Panel Design experience.
- Expert in AutoCAD Electrical (schematics, PLC modules, terminal strips, symbol libraries, automatic wire numbering, cross-referencing, reports/BOM).
- Strong knowledge of IEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A standards, electrical symbols, and industrial control panel design.
- Experience with PLC panels, MCC, VFDs, instrumentation, motor control, and industrial wiring.
- Good understanding of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or Omron PLC hardware.
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.

Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8, SCADA/HMI, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, or Modbus.
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation projects.
- Exposure to UL 508A panel design and customer approval documentation.
