Job Description:

Position: English Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Delivery: o Implementing and adapting the Podar curriculum that aligns with developmental goals. o Planning and delivering lessons to promote foundational skills in English language. Ensuring learning experiences are hands-on, engaging, and age-appropriate, with a strong focus on play-based learning.

2. Child-Centered Approach: o Understanding and supporting the individual developmental needs of each child. o Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity. o Using positive reinforcement and a nurturing approach to guide children's behavior.

3. Assessment and Documentation: o Regularly assessing children’s developmental progress, documenting learning outcomes, and maintaining detailed records of each child’s growth. o Communicating progress with parents through regular updates and parent-teacher meetings.

4. Classroom Management: o Establishing a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment where children can learn and grow. o Managing group activities, routines, and transitions effectively to ensure a smooth daily schedule. o Promoting social skills like sharing, teamwork, and communication.

5. Collaboration with Colleagues and Parents: o Collaborating with other educators and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment. o Engaging with parents to understand children’s needs, share developmental feedback, and discuss strategies to support learning at home.

6. Behavioural and Emotional Support:



Assisting children in understanding their emotions and developing emotional intelligence. Supporting children in resolving conflicts and fostering positive relationships with peers. Providing a caring, patient, and empathetic presence for young children.

7.Resource and Material Management: Ensuring the classroom is well-equipped with learning materials, toys, and tools that facilitate development. Regularly updating and maintaining classroom resources to align with teaching goals.

8. Professional Development: Staying updated on the latest early childhood education methodologies, trends, and best practices. o Attending workshops, seminars, or training sessions related to early childhood education.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

B.Ed is Mandate

Experience:

Previous experience working with young children in a pre-primary or similar educational setting. Familiarity with early childhood learning frameworks like Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Proficient in using technology to support teaching and learning. Good knowledge of child psychology and developmental stages. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a positive classroom culture.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
