Position Title: Design Engineer - PHE (Plumbing & Public Health Engineering)

Job Description:

As a PHE Design Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and oversee for various projects in commercial & residential buildings and industries. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

Education:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines.

Experience:

- Typically requires 3-7 years of experience in PHE design or a related field.
- Robust knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment plants (STP), water treatment plants (WTP), and fire suppression systems.
- Experience with MEP coordination, building codes, and plumbing regulations is essential.

Skills:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

Design Development:

- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for water supply, sanitation, and drainage systems in buildings.




- Ensure designs comply with applicable plumbing codes, standards, and regulations (NBC, IPC, UPC, IS codes, etc.).
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to integrate PHE systems into the overall building design.

System Calculations and Analysis:

- Perform hydraulic calculations, water demand analysis, drainage flow calculations, and pressure loss assessments.
- Size and specify pumps, pipes, valves, sanitary fixtures, and water storage tanks based on project requirements.
- Design stormwater management and rainwater harvesting systems to optimize water efficiency.

Drafting and Documentation:

- Use AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools to create detailed PHE system layouts, riser diagrams, and schematics.
- Prepare technical specifications and BOQs for PHE equipment and materials.
- Review shop drawings and contractor submittals to ensure compliance with design intent.

Project Coordination:

- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to discuss design requirements and approvals.
- Provide technical support and guidance during construction and installation phases.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
