Job Description: -

The Project Engineer – Electrical is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical engineering projects from concept to completion. This role includes managing design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Coordination

- Collaborate with Project Managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, contractors, and site teams
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
- Collect and review daily site progress reports

2. Design & Technical Oversight

- Prepare and review electrical designs including:
- Single-line diagrams
- Layout drawings
- Load calculations
- Select suitable electrical materials and equipment (cables, switchgear, transformers, panels, etc.)
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, and relevant safety codes
- Act as a technical liaison between engineering teams and suppliers

3. Procurement & Vendor Management

- Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems
- Draft and issue RFPs / RFQs to vendors
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability
- Conduct vendor qualification and performance assessments
- Review and approve vendor drawings and technical documentation
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable commercial terms
- Administer supplier contracts and agreements
- Maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term collaboration and cost optimization

4. Installation & Commissioning

- Supervise in office electrical installation activities




- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings and specifications
- Perform testing and commissioning of LV / MV / HV electrical systems
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve site-related technical issues

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain complete project documentation, including:
- Drawings and datasheets
- Test and commissioning reports
- Change orders and as-built documents
- Prepare and submit regular project progress reports
- Manage project closeout and handover documentation
- Prepare weekly progress reports and submit to the Director

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and company safety policies
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and inspections
- Ensure procurement and project activities comply with internal policies and external regulations

7. Tender & RFQ Management

- Monitor daily online tenders and RFQs received from customers
- Prepare tender/RFQ summary reports
- Inform and coordinate with the reporting authority for further action

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering only

Experience Requirements

- Degree Candidates:
- 2–3 years of experience
- Freshers may also apply
- Diploma Candidates:
- 2–5 years of experience

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and standards
- Proficiency in:
- MS Office
- AutoCAD Electrical (Compulsory)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Salary & Benefits

- Salary: No bar for the right candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
