The Dispatch Executive is responsible for coordinating dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of steel materials/products, maintaining logistics documentation, and coordinating with transporters, warehouse teams, and customers for smooth dispatch activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily dispatch activities for finished goods/materials
Prepare dispatch documents such as invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, LR copies, and gate passes
Coordinate with transporters and drivers for vehicle placement and shipment schedules
Monitor loading and unloading activities while ensuring safety compliance
Maintain dispatch records in ERP systems and MS Excel
Track pending dispatches and update dispatch status reports daily
Ensure proper quantity and quality checks before dispatch
Coordinate with production, stores, and logistics departments
Handle customer queries related to dispatch and delivery status
Follow company safety standards and Tata Steel operational procedures
Required Skills
Knowledge of logistics and dispatch operations
ERP/SAP and MS Excel proficiency
Good communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving ability under pressure
Understanding of transport and GST documentation
Attention to detail and record management
Qualification
Graduate in any discipline
Diploma or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred
Experience
1–2 years in dispatch/logistics operations preferred
Experience in steel/manufacturing industry is an advantage
