STAFF NURSE – JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPatient Care

- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to all patients.
- Assess, monitor, and record patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as prescribed by the consultant.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and immediately report abnormalities to the consultant or Nursing In-charge.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, medication charts, and patient documentation.

Admission & Discharge

- Complete admission assessment and nursing documentation.
- Orient patients and attendants regarding hospital rules and ward facilities.
- Prepare patients for investigations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Provide discharge education, medication instructions, and follow-up advice.

Infection Prevention & Patient Safety

- Follow hand hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Adhere to Biomedical Waste Management guidelines.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care workplace.
- Prevent falls, pressure injuries, and hospital-acquired infections.

Emergency Care

- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and assist in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) when required.
- Prepare and maintain emergency crash carts.
- Assist during Code Blue and other emergency situations.

Medication Management

- Follow the "Right Patient, Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Route, Right Time,



Right Documentation, Right Reason, Right Response, Right Education, and Right to Refuse."
- Verify medication orders before administration.
- Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and report immediately.
- Maintain medication stock and expiry checks.

Equipment Management

- Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment.
- Report equipment malfunction immediately.
- Maintain oxygen cylinders, suction apparatus, monitors, infusion pumps, nebulizers, and other equipment in working condition.

Documentation

- Complete nursing assessment forms accurately.
- Record vital signs, intake-output charts, medication administration, and nursing interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ensure timely completion of nursing notes and reports.

Communication

- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in nursing handover at every shift.
- Inform consultants immediately regarding any deterioration in patient condition.

Professional Conduct

- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Follow hospital policies, NABH standards, and nursing ethics.
- Wear a clean uniform and valid hospital ID card.
- Report to duty punctually and maintain discipline.
- Treat all patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Maintain adequate stock of medicines and consumables.
- Check expiry dates regularly.
- Report shortages to the Nursing In-charge.

Pay: From ₹8,000.00 per month
