As a Senior Data Scientist at Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), you will be part of the DriveWell Atlas team, contributing to the development of next-generation AI models that enhance risk assessment, driver engagement, crash detection, and claims processing in the field of telematics. Your role will involve designing, training, and deploying novel AI algorithms tailored to multi-modal sensor data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate these models into production systems. Additionally, you will stay abreast of the latest AI/ML research, apply new techniques to real-world challenges, and support junior team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing.**Responsibilities:**- Contribute to the design, training, and deployment of novel AI models for telematics applications- Develop algorithms modeling physical phenomena associated with vehicle and human movement- Implement advanced self-supervised learning methods for multi-modal sensor data- Fine-tune pretrained models for tasks like crash detection and driver risk scoring- Build robust models resilient to noise and missing data- Collaborate with engineers to integrate AI models into production systems- Develop scalable training and inference pipelines- Optimize models for efficient deployment in cloud and edge/mobile environments- Stay updated with AI/ML research and apply new techniques to real-world challenges- Document findings and present insights to contribute to CMTs AI/ML knowledge base- Support junior team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing**Qualifications:**- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in AI, Computer Science, or related field- 4 years of experience in AI/ML- Hands-on experience with training deep learning models,
preferably transformers- Proficiency in Python and data science libraries- Strong experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow for deep learning- Knowledge of distributed training methods and efficient model training- Familiarity with data processing pipelines and ML infrastructure- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business problems into AI solutions- Strong communication skills for technical concepts presentation- Product-focused mindset with a history of delivering impactful ML solutions**Nice to Haves:**- Masters or PhD in related field- Experience with model interpretability and explainability techniques- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and bias detection strategies- Exposure to MLOps practices- Publications or contributions in AI/MLCMT offers a fair and competitive salary, equity opportunities, medical benefits, flexible allowances, and a supportive work environment focused on improving road safety worldwide.
