Job Summary

The Student Counsellor (Study Abroad) is responsible for counselling prospective students regarding overseas education opportunities and assisting them in selecting suitable courses, universities, and countries based on their academic background, career goals, and financial profile. The role involves converting enquiries into admissions, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring a smooth student journey from counselling to enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students regarding study opportunities in countries such as Australia, Canada and other destinations.
- Understand students' educational background, career aspirations, and financial capability to recommend suitable programs and institutions.
- Handle walk-in enquiries, phone calls, online enquiries, and scheduled counselling appointments.
- Convert leads into enrolments by providing accurate and timely information.
- Follow up with prospective students through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and CRM.
- Coordinate with the documentation, admissions, visa, and finance teams to ensure a seamless application process.
- Maintain accurate student records and update CRM regularly.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents by providing excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on university admissions, visa regulations, scholarships, and immigration policies.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, webinars, school visits, and promotional events.
- Achieve individual monthly counselling, admission, and revenue targets.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.




- Strong counselling, sales, and customer relationship management abilities.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Target-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of overseas education and student visa processes.
- Solid organisational and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is preferred.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory).
- Master's Degree or relevant certification is an added advantage.

Experience

- 0–10 years of experience in Overseas Education, Immigration, Counselling, Sales, Customer Service, or Business Development.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for counselling are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in the Study Abroad or Immigration industry will be an added advantage.
