The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help individuals develop, recover, or maintain daily living and functional skills. The role involves working with children, adolescents, and adults with physical, developmental, sensory, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities1. Assessment & Evaluation

- Conduct detailed assessments of motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive abilities, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Use standardized and non-standardized assessment tools
- Identify functional limitations and therapy needs

2. Therapy & Intervention

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client goals
- Provide therapy for sensory integration, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and ADL training
- Work with children with developmental delays, autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Support adults in rehabilitation for mental health and physical conditions

3. Sensory Integration & Skill Development

- Plan and implement sensory integration therapy sessions
- Improve hand-eye coordination, balance, posture, and functional independence
- Facilitate social participation and school readiness skills in children

4. Family & Caregiver Guidance

- Educate parents/caregivers on home programs and therapy strategies
- Provide training on assistive techniques and environmental modifications

5. Collaboration

- Work closely with psychologists, speech therapists, special educators, physiotherapists, and psychiatrists
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions

6. Documentation & Reporting





- Maintain accurate and confidential therapy records and progress notes
- Prepare periodic progress reports and treatment summaries

7. Program Development

- Design group therapy sessions, workshops, and rehabilitation programs
- Contribute to early intervention and school readiness programs (CDC)

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT / MOT)
- Registration with relevant professional council (if applicable)

Experience

- 0–3 years of experience in pediatric, rehabilitation, or mental health settings
- Freshers with internship experience may be considered

- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Knowledge of sensory integration therapy techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work with children, adolescents, and adults

Additional Requirements

- Experience in working with neurodevelopmental disorders is an advantage
- Ability to handle assistive devices and therapy equipment
- Flexibility to work across units (Hospitals / Rehab / CDC)

- Clinical Head / Rehabilitation Head – Cadabams Group

Work Environment

- Multidisciplinary healthcare and rehabilitation setup
- Exposure to diverse clinical cases across age groups
