- Design, development, and optimize high-voltage power semiconductor devices including but not limited to SiC MOSFETs GaN HEMTs to meet electrical performance targets.
- Perform TCAD process and device simulations to evaluate device characteristics and support design optimization.
- Develop and maintain device layouts using industry-standard layout tools.
- Analyze wafer level and package level electrical characterization data and correlate measurements with simulation results.
- Support prototype debugging and implement design improvements based on characterization results.
- Collaborate with Process Integration engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable within process capabilities.
- Support reliability and qualification activities.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain design documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement of existing products.
Requirements
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor device design or technology development.
- Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, or similar tool.
- Understanding of power semiconductor device physics.
- Experience with TCAD simulation tools (Synopsys Sentaurus or Silvaco TCAD).
- Familiarity with layout tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, L-Edit, or KLayout.
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and their impact on device performance.
- Experience with electrical characterization and data analysis.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
