Role Description The Teaching Faculty – Interior Design role is a full-time, on-site position based at the CINDREBAY SCHOOL OF DESIGN campus in Kochi. The faculty member will design and deliver interior design curriculum, including lectures, studio classes, and workshops that blend theoretical knowledge with practical application. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing course materials and project briefs, mentoring learners on design concepts and portfolio development, and providing constructive feedback on assignments and studio work. The role also involves supervising design projects, coordinating juries and evaluations, supporting industry collaborations,



and contributing to academic events such as exhibitions, seminars, and guest lectures. The faculty member is expected to participate in continuous curriculum improvement, stay updated with contemporary design trends and technologies, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications

- Strong foundation in interior design principles, space planning, materials and finishes, and building services relevant to interior spaces.
- Proficiency in design visualization tools and techniques, such as manual drafting, 3D thinking, and presentation of concept boards and mood boards.
- Experience with design software commonly used in interior design (e.g., CAD and visualization tools), and willingness to integrate digital tools into teaching.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom teaching, studio mentoring, and academic assessment, with a learner-centered and inclusive approach.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide diverse learners, collaborate with colleagues, and engage with industry professionals.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional experience in interior design practice, design consultancy, or related fields; prior teaching or academic experience is an advantage.
