Purpose of the Role
The Requirements Engineer ensures that functional, business, and regulatory requirements are accurately translated into IT solutions. This role enables the smooth delivery of high-quality, compliant solutions for the insurance line of business by eliciting, analysing, documenting, and validating requirements in close collaboration with business stakeholders and IT.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Management
o Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements.
o Create and maintain User Stories, Use Cases, Process Models, and Data Models.
o Ensure clear traceability of requirements to the Product Backlog.
Communication & Alignment
o Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
o Ensure transparent and transparent communication of all requirements.
o Facilitate workshops and actively manage alignment across distributed/offshore teams.
Self-Enablement & Ownership
o Demonstrate self-learning capabilities in understanding the application and its business processes with minimal supervision.
o Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies proactively.
Technical Capability
o Basic exposure with .NET code analysis and debugging capability.
o Basic knowledge in SQL Database querying
Quality Assurance
o Define acceptance criteria and support test case development.
o Participate in system testing and validate implemented solutions.
o Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable.




Qualifications and Experience
o Bachelor s or master s degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Insurance Management, or related field.
o 5+ years of Requirements Engineering or Business Analysis experience
o Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and traditional project management.
o Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent tools.
o Experience working with cross-border/offshore teams (advantage).
