Job Summary

- To read through request for proposals quickly and understand the key process equipments required
- To propose design options that will be the most competitive given the nature and type of enquiry and convince client/consultant of the merits of proposed designs
- To prepare costings that will be competitive
- To prepare process documents required for proposal submission
- To coordinate and envisage impact of process on the other disciplines of mechanical/electrical/instrumentation and vice-versa

Responsibilities and Duties * Deep knowledge of waste water treatment and water recycling processes and the ability to utilize such knowledge to propose innovative cost-effective designs that are fit for purpose

- Ability to attend pre-bid technical meetings, and ask relevant questions and incorporate the responses of the client/consultant in the designs
- Ability to work under pressure to refine designs quickly as may be required by client/consultant
- Good overall knowledge of the other disciplines of mechanical/electrical/instrumentation.
- Detailed hydraulic and chemical calculations
- Preparation of PFD and PID, mass balance control philosophy etc
- Specification preparation and technical evaluation of equipment and process packages




- UF and RO designs including energy calculations and optimization
- Client / supplier technical liaison clarification
- Review of layout drawings from process, maintenance perspective
- Taking role of project design manager to coordinate all technical design on project (internal and external)
- Start up critical systems on site
- Familiarity with working style of major consultants, municipal and industrial clients

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications * Experience in design and commissioning of water treatment plants especially WTP, WWTP, STP, ETP and recycling

- Working to extensive client specifications
- Preparations of specifications for procurement
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience
- Well versed in English, Hindi and Tamil
- Diploma/Degree in Chemical engineering
- Need to be willing to travel for assignment if required
