Job DescriptionKey Account Manager – Modern Trade & SAS Location / Territory: Chennai Tamil Nadu Covered area: Chennai And Pondicherry Experience Level: 5–15 Years Reporting To: Executive Director Direct Reports: 2–3 Field Supervisors / Executives About the Role Its a Edible Oils industry seeking a seasoned Key Account Manager to manage operations and achieve 100% placement across National Modern Trade, Regional Modern Trade, and Standalone Supermarkets (SAS) in Tamil Nadu. This role is responsible for driving store-level off-take, maintaining operational servicing efficiencies, and building solid commercial relationships with store personnel and regional category offices. Key Responsibilities & Core Deliverables 1. Account Strategy & Business Growth ∙ Annual Business Planning: Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key accounts, establishing annual targets, trade offers, and promotional budgets. ∙ Listing & Account Alignment: Execute account strategies and listing/linking processes to meet revenue targets and optimize portfolio profitability. ∙ Trade Marketing Coordination:



Collaborate with trade marketing teams to align promotional strategies and oversee store-level execution. 2. Store Operations & Supply Chain Execution ∙ Order & Target Tracking: Monitor daily order flow, fill rates, and supply logistics to maintain target alignment. ∙ Inventory Control: Track store stock systematically to prevent stock-outs during peak cycles while avoiding overstocking. ∙ Operational Problem Solving: Partner with logistics, supply chain, and internal teams to rapidly resolve delivery and fulfillment issues. 3. Financial Management & Claims Settlement ∙ Budget Tracking: Track and manage scheme budget utilization against allocated financial resources. ∙ Claim Settlement: Validate, process, and reconcile trade claims promptly. ∙ Outstanding (O/S) Clearance: Monitor distributor balances and engage directly with trade accounts to clear outstanding payments.
