Job Summary

The Unit Manager is responsible for the complete operational management of the outlet by ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, managing employees, controlling costs, and achieving sales and profitability targets. The role requires solid leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to create a positive customer experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the sweets, savouries, bakery, restaurant, and chat sections.
- Ensure smooth opening and closing of the outlet as per SOPs.
- Monitor daily sales, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure availability of all products throughout business hours.
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for timely replenishment.
- Maintain outlet cleanliness, ambience, and visual merchandising standards.

Sales & Business Development

- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Increase average bill value through effective upselling and cross-selling.
- Plan and execute local promotional activities.
- Monitor sales trends and recommend strategies to improve business.
- Build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.

Customer Service

- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high service standards across all customer touchpoints.
- Gather customer feedback and implement improvements.

Team Management

- Recruit, train, motivate,



and supervise outlet employees.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance, shifts, and leave.
- Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
- Ensure employees follow grooming, hygiene, and service standards.
- Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and packing materials.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Control product wastage and inventory shrinkage.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are followed.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement for timely stock replenishment.

Food Safety & Quality

- Ensure food quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Monitor product freshness, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, service, and storage areas.
- Ensure all statutory food safety guidelines are followed.

Financial Management

- Monitor daily sales reports, cash collections, and deposits.
- Control operating expenses and improve outlet profitability.
- Verify billing accuracy and cash reconciliation.
- Monitor labour costs and operational expenses.
- Prepare daily and monthly operational reports.

Compliance & Administration

- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Maintain statutory records and operational documentation.




- Coordinate maintenance of equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Ensure workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
- Handle audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Food Safety or Hospitality Management are preferred.

Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in retail food, sweets, savouries, bakery, QSR, or restaurant operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
