Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with robust expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Database Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, performance optimization, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and automation of enterprise database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
The candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, and DevOps pipelines to streamline database operations, improve service reliability, and reduce operational effort.
This role requires collaboration with application teams, cloud teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable database services.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Database Administration
Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases.
Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Perform backup and recovery using RMAN.
Conduct database cloning, refreshes, and migrations.
Monitor and optimize Oracle database performance.
Support Oracle version upgrades and migration projects.
Implement security controls, auditing, and compliance requirements.

Design and implement automation for routine DBA operations.

Monitoring and alert remediation

Automate operational processes using:

Azure Database for PostgreSQL
Support cloud migrations and modernization programs.
Optimize cloud database performance and costs.
Production Support
Provide L3/L4 support for mission-critical production systems.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
Lead troubleshooting during critical incidents and outages.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
Support Change, Incident, Problem, and Release Management processes.
