About the Role:

Step into a dynamic and business-critical role as an Employment Law & Regulatory Compliance Counsel. You'll act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring our workforce practices are legally sound, scalable, and aligned with evolving regulations.

From advising on employment law and workforce structures to supporting commercial decisions and risk management, you'll play a key role in shaping compliant and practical solutions. If you're proactive, commercially aware, and enjoy translating law into business impact, this role is for you!

What You'll Be Doing

Employment Law & Compliance:

- Provide clear, practical advice on Indian employment and labour laws, including central and state-specific regulations.
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure timely implementation across the business.
- Design and manage compliant workforce engagement models (contractors, fixed-term, gig workforce, etc.).
- Advise on employee lifecycle matters including terminations, resignations, disciplinary actions, and complex cases.
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and related documentation.
- Navigate state-by-state compliance requirements, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Track employment law trends and share insights with leadership to support decision-making.

Business & Stakeholder Support:

- Act as a trusted legal advisor, assessing workforce-related risks and providing solutions.




- Partner with sales teams to advise on employment risks and workforce structuring in deal negotiations.
- Deliver training sessions on employment law, compliance, and best practices.
- Support broader legal initiatives including entity management, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and consistency.

Commercial & Contractual Support:

- Support commercial contract negotiations with a focus on employment and operational risk.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard terms of business.
- Build commercial capability and gradually take ownership of negotiations.

What We're Looking For

- 4+ years of experience in employment/ labour law (in-house or law firm).
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent); qualified legal professional preferred.
- Strong understanding of Indian employment and labour law frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance legal risk and business needs.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
