Role Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect who combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with architectural leadership to build scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms on Azure. This is not a pure oversight role—you will actively contribute to design, development, and optimization while leveraging contemporary AI tools to accelerate delivery with high quality and governance.
What You’ll Do
Architecture & Solution Design
Architect and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data platforms on Azure
Design modern data architectures (lakehouse, medallion, batch + streaming)
Define reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices
Data Engineering & Platform Build
Design and implement high-performance data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
Build and optimize data lakes using ADLS Gen2
Implement ELT/ETL frameworks using Spark, Python, and SQL
Ensure performance optimization, reliability, and scalability
Hands-on Engineering & AI-Driven Delivery
Actively contribute to design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and platforms
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality
Promote AI-augmented engineering practices across the team
Balance speed, cost, performance, and governance using automation
Drive reusable components and intelligent frameworks
Leadership & Delivery
Lead and mentor offshore teams
Drive code quality through reviews and standards
Own end-to-end delivery and client satisfaction
Client Engagement
Translate business requirements into scalable solutions
Act as a trusted advisor to clients
Drive proactive communication and value realization
Must-Have Skills
12+ years in Data Engineering / Analytics with architecture experience
Deep expertise in Azure data ecosystem
Strong hands-on engineering and coding skills
Experience leading offshore teams
Stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and quality
Good to Have
Azure certifications
Experience with streaming or AI/ML workloads
Tech Stack
Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (PySpark), ADLS Gen2, Power BI, Python, SQL, Spark, AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, LLM-based accelerators)
