Job Description
- Own the written word, ensure all content is well-written, standardized, edited and formatted correctly
-
Ensure design and layout inconsistencies are also spotted.
-
Ensure writing style is in line with the tone and tenor required by clients and implement internal or client specified style sheet on documents.
-
Carry out live document standardization, spell-checks and other hygiene tests directly on designed documents, be it in PowerPoint or PDF formats.

Use contemporary technology tools to make the workflow robust
-
Train business writers, copywriters and other team members on fundamentals
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of English punctuation and grammar; ability to switch between British and American English
-
Detail orientation bordering on OCD
-
Experience with building stylesheets and word templates for error free, standardized writing
-
Familiarity with an Indian language is desirable
-
Tech-savvy and knowledge of proofreading software and online tools is an added advantage
-
Exposure to corporate communications, annual reports, equity research reports is highly desirable
-
Knowledge of global and country specific conventions is a definite plus
-
Ability to create best practices related to writing and editing, train colleagues and create a culture of grammatical accuracy

Qualification and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
-
Experience of working in organizations such as consulting firms, equity research outfits, investment banks, printing establishments and content companies will be preferred.

Must be comfortable with reading on screen as well as in print

Familiarity with numbers, basic financial concepts and statutory information

Graduate or postgraduates in any discipline, preferably in English
