Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad

Job Summary –

Looking for an experienced Delphi developer (5-12 years) to lead and support migration of legacy Windows desktop applications from Delphi 6 to Delphi 13 (RAD studio). The role requires deep Object Pascal expertise, Strong understanding of VCL-based architectures, and hands-on experience with code refactoring component upgrades, database integration, and release support. Exposure to .NET interoperability and modernization practices is essential.

Years of experience needed –

Candidate experience – 5 to 12 years

Technical Skills:

1. Strong hands-on experience in Delphi / Object Pascal development

2. Practical experience with modern Delphi versions (RAD Studio/Delphi 10, Delphi 13 preferred)

3. Strong knowledge of Visual Component Library (VCL), Windows desktop application development

4. Strong understanding of ActiveX libraries, COM components and package management in legacy applications

5. Good hands-on experience of Object orientation concepts and designing principles

6. Good experience in ADO database frameworks, robust SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions across relational databases

7. Proven experience in legacy application modernization and migration projects

8. Good experience with performance profiling, memory leak detection in Delphi applications

9. Experience with static code analyzers, Git version control and unit testing frameworks ex- DUnitX

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze existing Delphi 6 applications and drive-end-to-end migration to advanced Delphi 10+/latest RAD studio versions

2. Refactor legacy Object Pascal code,



including modernization of custom components and reusable libraries

3. Upgrade third-party libraries/packages and resolve compatibility, dependency and build/runtime issues

4. Support database integration changes, testing, defect resolution and deployment activities across environments

5. Collaborate closely with Architects, Business analysts, and QA teams to ensure functional parity and performance improvements

6. Document migration approach, technical decisions, risk and remediation plans for stakeholders.

7. Contribute to secure coding, code quality, and maintainability standards for long-term product evolution.

- Capable of analyzing requirements and develop software as per project defined software process

- Develop and peer review of LLD (Initiate/ participate in peer reviews)
