About The Role

The Workday HCM Analyst role at Tech Data is a vital position responsible for supporting and optimizing our Human Capital Management systems. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of HR data and processes within Workday, contributing to a seamless user experience across our global organization. The analyst will handle day-to-day system support, perform audits, assist with system upgrades, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements. Additionally, this position involves providing user training, managing support requests via a global mailbox, and participating in projects aimed at improving HR systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a customer-focused mindset, ensuring that our HR technology infrastructure continues to support our strategic objectives effectively.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have 1-3 years of experience working with Workday or other Human Capital Management systems. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with stakeholders at all levels. A strong attention to detail and a focus on data quality are critical, along with a foundational understanding of HR processes and data flows. The ability to quickly learn new systems and work comfortably with data is important. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, an analytical mindset capable of interpreting data, and a service-oriented approach.



Intermediate proficiency in Excel is required, and familiarity with system integrations and basic reporting will be advantageous. We welcome applicants who are adaptable, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide timely triage, resolution, or escalation of global tickets and mailbox requests related to Workday and HR systems.
- Maintain HR systems through data fixes, mass updates, and routine administrative tasks to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits to verify data accuracy and consistency across all HR systems.
- Support testing and validation of system enhancements, updates, and new functionalities to ensure seamless deployment.
- Collaborate with IT and other relevant teams to troubleshoot and resolve interface and integration issues.
- Execute system updates, including modifications to cost centers, organizational structures, locations, and reporting hierarchies.
- Prepare, analyze, and validate reports to provide insights and ensure data accuracy for decision-making.
- Assist with HR and Payroll audits, including compensation adjustments and job changes, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Deliver basic user training sessions and develop support documentation to facilitate user adoption and understanding.
- Create and maintain reports, including ad hoc reports, to meet business needs.
- Maintain foundational knowledge of Workday processes, data extraction, report generation, and EIB uploads.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in system clean-up activities to enhance operational efficiency.




- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at increasing HR system effectiveness and user satisfaction.
