About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAS AML Data Analyst / Tester to join our dynamic team for a critical migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting comprehensive testing activities related to the migration of the SAS Anti-Money Laundering platform from SAS AML 7.1 to SAS Viya 4. This role is vital in ensuring that all functionalities, AML scenarios, business rules, and system integrations operate seamlessly post-migration, adhering to both business and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with business users, technical teams, and implementation partners will be essential to validate the accuracy and effectiveness of the migrated solution, ensuring a smooth transition and operational continuity.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess between 5 to 7 years of extensive experience in software testing, with a solid preference for those with a background in banking or financial services. Proven hands-on experience testing SAS AML solutions is essential, along with familiarity with application migration or upgrade projects. Candidates should have a solid understanding of software testing methodologies,



defect lifecycle management, and experience working with test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. A good grasp of SQL and basic data analysis techniques will be advantageous. Knowledge of banking AML processes and regulatory compliance standards is highly desirable, ensuring the candidate can effectively validate complex AML scenarios and workflows.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored for the SAS AML migration project, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all functionalities.
- Perform various testing types including functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the migrated platform's performance.
- Validate that all AML detection rules, workflows, and configurations function as intended within SAS Viya 4, ensuring consistency with the legacy system.
- Verify that newly configured AML scenarios generate expected alerts, outputs, and case creation results, maintaining operational accuracy.
- Conduct comparative analysis between SAS AML 7.1 and SAS Viya 4 to confirm functional equivalence where applicable.
- Execute end-to-end testing of AML processes such as data ingestion, scenario execution, alert generation, and reporting to ensure seamless operation.
- Identify, document, and track defects,



collaborating closely with technical teams and the implementation partner to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation activities to confirm migration accuracy and maintain data integrity across environments.
- Support business users during UAT by preparing test data, executing scenarios, and addressing testing issues to ensure readiness.
- Validate defect fixes through re-testing and perform regression testing to safeguard existing functionalities.
- Prepare detailed test execution reports, defect summaries, and status updates for project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ensure all testing activities align with Mashreq's quality standards, testing processes, and project governance frameworks.
