Titan is a leading manufacturer of watches and wearables, with a strong presence in the Indian market. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Officer - Plating to join our team at our facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This is a full-time position in the Engineering department, and the ideal candidate will have experience in plating processes and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the plating process for all watches and wearables produced at the facility
- Ensure that all plating processes are carried out according to company standards and quality requirements
- Monitor and maintain the plating equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the plating process
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient production
- Train and supervise junior plating technicians
- Maintain accurate records of plating processes and materials used
- Implement and maintain safety protocols for the plating department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plating processes, preferably in the watch or jewelry industry
- Strong understanding of plating techniques and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Willingness to work flexible schedule as needed
Additional Parameters:
- Experience with electroplating and PVD processes is preferred
- Knowledge of ISO and other quality management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is an asset
- Fluency in Tamil is preferred, but not required
