Job Description: A Production Assistant in a chains manufacturing facility ensures smooth day-to-day shop floor operations. They manage raw materials (like steel and alloy coils), track workflow, maintain machinery, and uphold quality standards to meet production targets. [1, 2, 3] Key Responsibilities

- Production Support: Assist the supervisor in executing daily manufacturing schedules to ensure timely production of industrial or mechanical chains. [1, 2]
- Inventory Management: Track and maintain raw material stock (wire, rod, links) and spare parts to avoid assembly bottlenecks. [1, 2, 3]
- Quality & Safety Checks: Conduct routine inspections on chain links for dimensional accuracy, tensile strength, and finish. Enforce all safety and health regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA) on the shop floor. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in routine checks and maintenance of heavy machinery like wire drawing, link forming, welding,



and heat-treating furnaces. [1]
- Data & Reporting: Update daily logs, prepare production reports, and record performance metrics (KPIs) for the management team. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 3+ years in a steel, metal, or manufacturing/assembly workplace.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of blueprint reading, measuring tools (calipers, micrometers), and ERP/MRP software.
- Physical & Environmental: Ability to work in a physically demanding, noisy, and hot manufacturing setting. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
