Job Description: A Purchase Executive for a minerals processing plant drives the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, heavy machinery spares, consumables, and reagents. They negotiate vendor contracts, manage inventory levels, and ensure uninterrupted plant operations while keeping costs optimized. [1, 2, 3, 4] Key Responsibilities

- Sourcing & Procurement: Procure specialized industrial spares, mechanical components, refractory materials, and chemicals required for mineral beneficiation and processing.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain a reliable database of domestic and international suppliers, evaluating them based on price, quality, and delivery lead times.
- Negotiations & Contracting: Conduct techno-commercial evaluations, negotiate competitive pricing, and finalize payment terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Inventory & Planning: Monitor stock levels of critical consumables to prevent production downtime and align procurement with plant shutdown or maintenance schedules.




- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare purchase orders (POs), track shipments, process invoices, and maintain records for audit compliance. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Mining), Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 2-3 years in procurement roles within heavy industries, such as mining, mineral processing, cement, steel, or kiln-based plants.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of heavy machinery, equipment specifications, and industrial consumables.
- Software: Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Advanced MS Excel. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
