Job Description: A PRODUCTION HEAD for a Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant within an integrated steel plant oversees all aspects of DRI production, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role involves leading a team, managing production processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. They are responsible for maximizing production output while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

- Production Management: Leading and managing the end-to-end operations of the DRI plant, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring a safe working environment, implementing and enforcing safety procedures, and adhering to all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Process Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing the DRI production process to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all DRI plant equipment, including implementing preventative maintenance schedules and coordinating with maintenance teams.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that the DRI produced meets established quality standards and specifications.
- Cost Management: Managing production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing resource utilization.




- Team Leadership: Leading, motivating, and developing a team of production personnel, including training and performance management.
- Reporting & Analysis: Analyzing production data, generating reports, and providing regular updates to senior management on plant performance.
- Coordination: Collaborating with other departments, such as maintenance, quality control, and procurement, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Specific Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of DRI plant operations, including raw material handling, reduction processes, and product handling.
- Experience in managing a team and leading operational activities in a heavy industrial workplace.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and cost management principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with relevant technologies and methodologies, such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
