Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused Career Counselor to guide students and working professionals in selecting suitable courses and career paths. The candidate will understand learners’ educational backgrounds, interests, skills, and career goals and recommend appropriate training programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and professionals through phone calls, online meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
- Understand each learner’s educational background, interests, strengths, and career objectives.
- Recommend suitable technical, placement-focused, and professional-development courses.
- Clearly explain course curriculum, duration, fees, certifications, placement assistance, and career opportunities.
- Follow up with prospective learners and support them throughout the admission process.
- Convert qualified enquiries into course enrolments while maintaining ethical counseling practices.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, counseling sessions, and enrolments in the CRM.
- Conduct career-awareness sessions, seminars, webinars, and orientation programs.
- Coordinate with academic, training, marketing, and placement teams.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, colleges, and institutional partners.
- Collect learner feedback and help improve the counseling and admission experience.
- Achieve assigned monthly counseling and enrolment targets.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.




- 1–3 years of experience in career counseling, academic counseling, admissions, education sales, or EdTech.
- Freshers with excellent communication and counseling skills may also be considered.
- Good understanding of higher education, skill-development programs, and employment trends.
- Fluency in English and at least one regional language.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and active-listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion abilities.
- Empathy and a genuine interest in helping learners build their careers.
- Ability to understand learner requirements and recommend appropriate programs.
- Valuable follow-up, relationship-management, and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and achieve enrolment targets without compromising counseling quality.

Preferred Skills

- Experience counseling students for IT, software development, placement training, or professional certification programs.
- Familiarity with courses such as Java, Python, C, C++, Full-Stack Development, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.
- Experience working with colleges, training institutes, or online learning platforms.

Performance Indicators

- Number of counseling sessions completed.
- Lead-to-enrolment conversion rate.
- Quality and consistency of follow-ups.
- Student satisfaction and retention.
- Accuracy of CRM records.
- Achievement of monthly enrolment targets.
