Job Summary

The Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager – API Sales will drive domestic business growth by promoting and selling Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) to pharmaceutical manufacturers. The role requires a commercially strong sales professional with industry knowledge, an established network, strong client management skills, and a proven track record in pharmaceutical B2B sales.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to grow the domestic API business by building strategic customer relationships, identifying new revenue opportunities, and supporting market expansion in a competitive pharmaceutical workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Promote and sell APIs to pharmaceutical manufacturers and other prospective clients while building and expanding strong customer relationships.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, customer meetings, lead generation, and networking.
- Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, samples, commercial negotiations, and MIS reports for management review.
- Track inquiries, sales activities, orders, and pipeline performance through CRM systems and sales reports.
- Achieve sales targets and support revenue growth through effective account management and market development.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization at industry events and monitor competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities.

Key Deliverables





- Drive sustainable domestic API sales growth through customer acquisition, account development, and market expansion.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, MIS reporting, and market intelligence to support business decisions.
- Ensure strong customer retention, service excellence, and cross-functional coordination.

Education, Experience & Skills

- Graduate in any discipline; B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or a science background is mandatory.
- 4–7 years of experience in API sales, pharmaceutical B2B sales, or related business development roles.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, pharmaceutical manufacturing, market analysis, sales strategy, and client relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, MIS reporting, and willingness to travel extensively.
