- Imaging: Capturing images, adjusting the scanner, and detecting abnormalities
- Reporting: Presenting images and findings to physicians, and writing reports
- Record keeping: Maintaining patient records and medical notes
- Safety: Following safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Collaboration: Working with other healthcare team members
- Education: Staying updated with current technologies and practices

Ultrasound technicians

- Use sonographic equipment to identify areas of concern
- Assist radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures
- Report abnormalities to the appropriate medical staff
- Maintain the sonography equipment

Echocardiography technicians

- Perform echocardiograms to assess heart function
- Review and interpret preliminary results
- Record and store echocardiogram images and patient information
- Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
