Responsibilities

Own product prioritization and backlog management for a mature Agile squad delivering core business capabilities.

Review existing initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline processes, simplify delivery, and improve outcomes.

Create, refine, and maintain initiatives, epics, features, and user stories with appropriate structure and business context.

Prioritize Tier 1 and Tier 2 workstreams based on business value, strategic objectives, and portfolio priorities.

Drive execution and delivery while ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.

Partner with business leaders, product teams, architects, and engineering teams to define scope, dependencies, and priorities.

Conduct runway research to support future planning and portfolio-level decision-making.

Manage competing priorities and facilitate trade-offs between stakeholder needs and delivery constraints.





Maintain visibility into squad progress and ensure delivery commitments are clearly understood and managed.

Influence and lead within a tenured, cross-functional team environment without relying on formal authority.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify optimization opportunities across the product landscape.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

5+ years of Product Management or Product Owner experience within Agile environments.

Proven experience managing product backlogs, prioritization, and roadmap execution.

Strong experience creating and managing initiatives, epics, features, and user stories.

Expertise in product prioritization frameworks and value-based decision making.

Experience collaborating with business, technology, and delivery stakeholders.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

Demonstrated ability to drive execution with minimal supervision.

Experience managing complex workstreams and multiple competing priorities.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.

Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within mature Agile teams.

Experience supporting portfolio planning, roadmap development, and future runway analysis.

Preferred Skills

Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance domain experience.

Experience working on core platforms, digital capabilities, or enterprise transformation programs.

Exposure to large-scale Agile delivery models.

Experience managing products within insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.

Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
