Job Title

Medical Equipment Installation Engineer

(also used: Medical Gas Pipeline Installation Engineer

Job Purpose

To install, commission, test, and hand over medical equipment and hospital systems (including medical gas pipelines, oxygen plants, ICU equipment, etc.) at customer sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation as per manufacturer and hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

- Carry out site survey and verify readiness of civil, electrical, and utility connections before installation.

- Install medical equipment and systems such as:

- Medical gas pipeline systems (oxygen, vacuum, medical air, AGSS, etc.)

- ICU equipment, OT tables, anesthesia machines, monitors, etc. (as per scope)

- Perform mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work as per approved drawings and BOQ.

- Conduct commissioning, functional testing, and calibration of installed equipment/systems.

- Prepare installation reports, test certificates, and handover documents for client sign‑off.

Testing, Troubleshooting & Support

- Identify and rectify installation‑related issues in piping, valves, sensors, panels, and equipment.

- Coordinate with senior engineers / OEMs for complex technical problems.

- Provide basic training to hospital staff on protected operation and routine checks of installed systems.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain daily work logs, material consumption records, and site photos.

- Ensure all work follows safety norms, infection control guidelines, and applicable standards (e.g., NABH‑related requirements where relevant).

- Support AMC/CMC handover by sharing as‑built drawings, test reports, and warranty documents.





Coordination & Site Management

- Coordinate with hospital engineers, contractors, and vendors for smooth execution.

- Monitor material usage, report shortages/damages, and assist in procurement follow‑up.

- Follow project timelines and quality checklists provided by the company.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum: 10th pass.

- Maximum qualification: **Not mandatory**; candidates with higher education (12th, Diploma, B.Tech, etc.) may also apply.

- Prior experience in installation, piping, electrical work, or servicing of equipment is preferable but not compulsory; on‑the‑job training will be provided.

- “Candidates with basic technical aptitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work at hospital sites will be given preference.”

Key Skills

- Basic knowledge of piping, valves, pressure testing, and electrical connections (for gas pipeline roles).

- Ability to read drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment manuals.

- Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

- Understanding of safety practices in hospital environments.

- Decent communication skills to interact with hospital staff and vendors.

- Willingness to travel and work at multiple sites in Delhi NCR and other states.

Working Conditions

- Primarily field‑based role with frequent travel to hospitals, clinics, and project sites.

- Work may involve standing, climbing, lifting, and working in OT/ICU areas as per site requirements.

- Shifts generally daytime, but may require extended hours during critical installation/commissioning activities.

- Overtime will be provided on daily basis to the employees.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month

Work Location: On the road
