- Screening: Guards manage hospital reception and lobby areas by verifying appointments, issuing visitor passes, and checking credentials.
- Restricted Areas: They prevent unauthorized entry into sensitive zones such as maternity wards, pharmacies, intensive care units, and laboratories to protect patient privacy and stop the theft of medications or expensive equipment. [1, 2, 3, 4]

2. De-Escalation & Conflict Resolution

- Crisis Mediation: Because hospitals frequently deal with individuals under extreme stress, mental health crises, or substance influence, guards rely heavily on verbal intervention to diffuse tense situations safely. [1, 2]
- Restraint Assistance: When necessary, they directly assist clinical staff with physical holds and the application of clinical restraints to prevent injuries.

3. Emergency & Crisis Response

- Code Teams:



Guards are active participants in emergency response teams (such as "Code White" for violence or aggression), taking a lead role in managing chaotic environments, lockdowns, and evacuations.
- Hazard Monitoring: They constantly watch surveillance cameras (CCTV) and respond rapidly to alarms for fires, biohazards, or medical incidents in common areas.

4. Patrol & Asset Protection

- Rounds: Personnel perform foot and mobile patrols to check doors, windows, and perimeter gates for vandalism, safety hazards, or suspicious activity. [1, 2]

5. Public Assistance & Reporting
