Responsible for purchasing materials, keeping the store under control, and making sure the
right materials reach project sites on time, in the right quantity and condition. The role works
mainly through the Store Keeper (for store operations) and the Machinery & Maintenance
person (for equipment upkeep) — monitoring their work and getting things done — while
personally driving purchasing and site material delivery. The goal: no site stoppages due to
material or equipment, with controlled cost and accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement / Purchase
- Raise and process purchase orders against site/project requirements (indents) on time.
- Source and compare vendor quotations for waterproofing materials, chemicals,
consumables, and tools; prepare comparison statements for approval.
- Negotiate rates, delivery schedules, and payment terms; maintain an approved vendor list
with periodic review.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve quantity or quality issues.
- Track material prices and maintain rate records for commonly used items.

Store & Inventory Management (through the Store Keeper)
- Oversee the Store Keeper and ensure day-to-day store/warehouse operations run
smoothly.
- Ensure the Store Keeper maintains accurate stock records (inward/outward) in the
ERP/system; review and spot-check regularly.
- Set minimum stock levels and reorder points, and ensure the Store Keeper flags them in
