Job Description:

A Weighbridge Operator at a steel company manages the accurate weighing of incoming raw materials (scrap, iron ore) and outgoing finished goods (steel plates, TMT bars) using electronic systems. They generate weight tickets, verify vehicle loads, and maintain logs, requiring 1-5 years of experience, proficiency in Excel/SAP, and robust data accuracy skills. Key Job Responsibilities

- Weighing Operations: Operate electronic weighbridge systems (Dharamkata) to weigh inbound/outbound trucks, measuring gross and tare weights to calculate net weight.
- Documentation: Generate, verify, and issue accurate weighment slips, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Data Management: Maintain comprehensive computerized logs and spreadsheets of material movement (e.g., steel plates, scrap, finished structural steel).
- Compliance: Ensure vehicles comply with legal weight restrictions and company safety standards.
- Communication: Coordinate with security, transport drivers,



and dispatchers to ensure smooth traffic flow and accurate documentation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance of the weighbridge area to ensure operational functionality. Requirements and Qualifications

- Education: Typically 12th pass, Graduation is preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years in a similar industry (steel, power, logistics).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and weighing software (e.g., SAP).
- Required Attributes: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in shifts. Typical Work Environment

- Positioned in a control cabin near the entry/exit gates of a steel fabrication or manufacturing plant.
- Full-time, often requiring rotational shifts to match factory production timings.
