Job Description:

Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production.
Experience: Minimum 10 to 15 yrs. experience in core Welding department
Work location: Pirangut in Pune

Job Brief: We are looking a person who will Lead welding department, and achieve the desired production targets and maintain/improve the product quality.

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for Welding Department and achieve desired production targets and improve welding quality and welding department efficiency.
• Responsible for Shift allocation of welders and welding operators.
• Work allocation to welders as per Production Plan.
• Responsible to keep ready all required parts for welding to avoid welder movement to search for material.
• Coordinate with respective department for Material follow up (eg. Purchase department, Laser Cutting, Bending department).
• Responsible for Welder qualification and Welding procedure qualification as per the requirements of ISO 3834-2 at regular intervals.
• Responsible to generate all records (Inspection Reports, Inspection Plan) and maintain the records for next 5 yrs.




• Monitor condition of all manual welding machines and welding robots and maintain all welding machines in positive healthy condition in coordination with maintenance department.
• Coordinate with quality department for First Piece approval of new products.

Personal skills:
• Should be a Very good team leader and able to lead a team of 30-40 welders and 10-15 casual labors.
• Shall have expertise in reading Engineering drawing and welding symbols.
• Should be well familiar with GMAW welding.
• Shall be able to design welding fixtures for welded components.
• Shall Have Working experience In ERP.
• Familiar with all measuring instruments.
• Generate Purchase requisition for required spare parts for welding machines and welding robots.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
• IWS, IWT or IWE qualification will be an added advantage.
• Awareness of ISO 3834-2 audit will be an added advantage.
• Hands on experience with Fronius welding machines and welding robots will be an added advantage.
