Responsibilities
- Operate JCB equipment for digging, loading, backfilling, trenching, and more
- Ensure equipment is secure and functioning properly
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Communicate with supervisors and team members
- Inspect work sites and equipment for hazards
- Complete paperwork and documentation
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge
Qualifications and skills
- Diploma or other qualification in mechanical or related field
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and construction drawings
- Ability to coordinate with other crew members
- Ability to adjust mechanisms and control equipment using levers, foot pedals, joysticks, and operating switches
