Data Warehouse Engineer (Vertica Talend)

Reporting Relationship: Senior Technical Specialist

Job location: Mumbai

Note: Need at Least 4-5 Year exp resource

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and optimize existing data warehouse pipelines and data models in Vertica
- Develop and enhance ETL workflows using Talend
- Convert Oracle stored procedures, queries, and logic into optimized Vertica-based data models
- Interpret business requirements and construct required SQL/query logic

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and translate requirements into technical specifications
- Ensure high precision, data quality, and auditability, especially for regulatory reporting
- Support downstream reporting systems including SSAS and Power BI
- Work with PostgreSQL and other auxiliary data systems as needed
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize SQL/data models

Education and Certifications:

- Mandatory Bachelor's degree (B.Tech /B.E.)

Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities





- Robust experience with Vertica (or similar MPP data warehouse platforms)
- Hands-on expertise in Talend ETL development
- Proficiency in SQL, especially query optimization and data modelling
- Experience in Oracle SQL / PL-SQL and migration to modern DW platforms
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling, ETL, data quality)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including OLAP and data cubes.
- Experience with metadata management and implementing data quality frameworks.
- Programming skills in Python, SQL, or Java for building data workflows and automation scripts.
