A qualified Chartered Accountant with solid expertise in statutory audit, internal audit, tax audit, and taxation compliance. The ideal candidate should possess sound technical knowledge, analytical ability, and hands-on experience in handling audits and direct tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Statutory Audits of companies in accordance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform Tax Audits under the Income Tax Act and prepare relevant reports and documentation.
- Prepare and review Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms, and companies.
- Ensure compliance with direct tax laws, including computation of taxable income and filing of returns.
- Assist in tax planning and advisory to optimize client tax positions while ensuring legal compliance.
- Handle assessment proceedings and queries from tax authorities.
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers and financial statements as per accounting standards.
- Support in internal control evaluation and risk assessment during audits.
- Stay updated with latest amendments in accounting and tax laws and communicate implications to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
- Plan, execute, and report on Internal Audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
- Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
