- Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer with a strong background in Railway / Infrastructure Projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the project from the initial planning stage through execution and final completion, ensuring effective control over planning, progress, cost, billing, QS, documentation, and ERP systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of project controls and be capable of independently coordinating with site teams, project management teams, consultants, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall project planning and project control activities from project initiation to completion.
- Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules, work programs, and baseline plans.
- Track project progress against planned targets and identify delays and deviations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor project cost, budget, cash flow, and financial progress.
- Coordinate with site teams for actual progress updates and project data collection.
- Handle QS activities, including quantity estimation, BOQ, measurements, quantity reconciliation, and cost monitoring.
- Coordinate and monitor client and subcontractor billing.
- Review and track variations, extra items, claims, and changes in scope.
- Monitor project resources, manpower, materials, and productivity.
- Analyse project delays and prepare delay analysis and recovery plans.
- Coordinate with the execution, QS, contracts, procurement, and finance teams.
- Maintain proper project documentation and records.




- Handle and update project-related information in the ERP system.
- Prepare project dashboards, MIS reports, and management reports.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure effective coordination between site execution and project control functions.
- Support project management in decision-making by providing accurate project data and analysis.
- Travel to project sites as required for project monitoring and coordination.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in civil engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in railway / infrastructure / civil construction projects.
- Experience in Project Planning and Project Controls.
- Strong knowledge of QS, billing, cost control, estimation, BOQ, and quantity reconciliation.
- Experience in handling ERP systems and project management software.
- Knowledge of project scheduling and monitoring tools such as Primavera P6 / MS Project will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project progress monitoring, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Valuable understanding of contracts, variations, claims, and project documentation.
- Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel to and visit different project sites.
