Job Designation: Technician (Electrician)
Job Summary:
The Technician (Electrician) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply across the facility. The role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, installation activities, safety compliance, and coordination with vendors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance of LT panels, Distribution Boards (DBs), MCCs, switchgear, and transformers.
- Attend to electrical breakdowns, power failures, and complaints promptly to minimize downtime.
- Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical wiring, fixtures, and small power systems.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of DG sets, UPS systems, and earthing networks.
- Conduct periodic inspections related to electrical safety, earthing systems, and insulation resistance.
- Maintain daily logbooks for electrical readings, complaints, maintenance activities, and shift handovers.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during major repairs, shutdowns, and electrical works.
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, use of PPE, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Read, understand, and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and as-built electrical drawings.
Educational Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical from a Government-recognized institute.
- Valid Wireman / Electrical Supervisor License issued by PWD, Government of Gujarat – Mandatory
Skilled Experience
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of LT systems in commercial or institutional buildings.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong practical knowledge of LT power distribution, cabling, and load management.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Sound awareness of electrical safety codes, statutory requirements, and energy conservation practices.
- Basic understanding of BMS systems, lighting controls, and AMC coordination.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical, housekeeping, and support teams.
- Organized, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented approach to work.
