Reports To: Plant Manager / Operations Head (Functional coordination with HR Manager)
Location: Manufacturing Plant (13 Production Lines)
Position Purpose
The Operations Excellence Executive is responsible for driving the implementation and sustainability of the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) and Daily Management System (DMS) across the plant. The role ensures standard execution of tier meetings, visual management, KPI tracking, Kaizen implementation, action closure, and continuous improvement initiatives across all 13 production lines. This position acts as the custodian of operational governance, ensuring that DMS routines are consistently followed and improvement culture is embedded throughout the plant.
Responsibilities
1. Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) & DMS Implementation
- Implement and sustain MOS and DMS across all departments and production lines.
- Standardize Daily Management System practices.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating routines and governance.
- Support department heads in effective DMS implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement culture.
2. Tier Meeting Management
- Ensure Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 meetings are conducted as per schedule.
- Audit meeting quality, attendance, escalation and action tracking.
- Monitor effectiveness of daily review meetings.
- Publish compliance reports.
3. KPI Boards & Visual Management
- Develop and maintain department KPI boards.
- Ensure daily KPI updates and visual management standards.
- Track production, quality, safety, delivery and cost metrics.
- Maintain standard formats across departments.
4. Action Tracker Management
- Maintain centralized action tracker.
- Track action owners and due dates.
- Follow up for timely closure of actions.
- Escalate overdue actions and publish closure reports.
5. Kaizen Management
- Promote Kaizen culture across the plant.
- Coordinate Kaizen idea generation and implementation.
- Maintain Kaizen database and savings tracker.
- Organize Kaizen reviews, recognition and best practice sharing.
6. Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct regular DMS and MOS audits.
- Identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly governance reports.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S and operational excellence initiatives.
