Overview

Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to support enterprise data quality and governance initiatives. This role focuses on assessing, monitoring, and improving data quality across assigned business domains while partnering with data governance, IT, and business stakeholders.

The Data Quality Analyst will support the implementation of data quality standards and controls, including identifying critical data elements, validating business definitions, and supporting documentation within the data catalog and metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra). The role will contribute to maintaining data quality rules, metrics, and issue logs within Collibra and related platforms.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include profiling data to identify data quality issues, performing root cause analysis, and working with stakeholders to support remediation efforts. The analyst will also assist in implementing data quality processes aligned to governance policies, standards, and best practices.

Analyze large and complex datasets using SQL and related technologies to profile data,



identify patterns, anomalies, and data quality issues across source systems.

- Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data.

- Identify data defects through ongoing monitoring, perform root cause analysis, and work with upstream and downstream teams to drive issue remediation.

- Support the creation and maintenance of data quality metrics, dashboards, and reports to track trends and highlight risks.

- Ensure adherence to data privacy and security standards by following best practices for handling, validating, storing, and sharing sensitive data.

- Partner with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to understand data flows, clarify requirements, and improve overall data quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Education

- Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Degree: Degree in Computers/Maths/Stats

- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Experience

- Entry-Level (0 to 1 Year)
- Mid-Level (1 to 3 Years)
- Senior Level (3 to 6 Years)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Quality or Data Analysis roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience using data analysis and data profiling tools to assess and validate data




- Solid understanding of data quality principles, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and integrity
- Working knowledge of data privacy and security best practices when handling sensitive or regulated data
- Experience working with enterprise source systems and validating data across multiple platforms
- Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify data quality issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment, including participation in backlog grooming, sprint planning, development cycles, and user acceptance testing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with technical teams and business stakeholders
- Ability to stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data quality and analytics
