We are looking for a compassionate and result-oriented Financial / Surgical Counsellor to guide patients through their treatment journey. The ideal candidate will counsel patients on recommended eye procedures, explain treatment plans, address financial queries, and help convert consultations into successful surgeries. This role combines patient counselling with sales and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
- Clearly explain the benefits, risks, and expected outcomes of the recommended treatment.
- Guide patients on treatment costs, insurance, payment options, financing, and package details.
- Build trust and confidence to help patients make informed decisions.
- Follow up with patients to ensure timely surgery scheduling and improve conversion rates.
- Coordinate with doctors, front office, insurance, and billing teams for a seamless patient experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records and counselling updates in the hospital management system.
- Achieve monthly counselling and surgery conversion targets.
- Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction through excellent communication and service.





Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Counsellor, Financial Counsellor, or Patient Counsellor in an Eye Hospital (preferred).
- Strong understanding of ophthalmology procedures such as Cataract, LASIK, Retina, Glaucoma, etc. will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, counselling, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle patient objections with empathy and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of medical insurance and hospital billing processes is preferred.
- Target-oriented with a strong sales mindset.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in Ophthalmology / Eye Hospital is highly preferred.
- Strong convincing and relationship-building skills.
- Patient-centric approach with the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
- Presentable personality with skilled communication skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
