Job Descritpion of Optimizely CMS Developer

7+ Years Relevant Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Optimizely CMS Developer with strong .NET and front-end experience to lead the development and customization of digital platforms built on Optimizely CMS (formerly Episerver). The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise across the Optimizely suite, is comfortable leading development teams, and is experienced with modern web development technologies and best practices in e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and customize scalable solutions using Optimizely CMS/Commerce, .NET Core, and C#.
- Implement front-end functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, VueJS, or NuxtJS.
- Integrate and configure other Optimizely products such as Personalization, Campaign, and Web Experimentation.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define architecture, and drive project execution.
- Collaborate across design, development, and marketing teams to deliver optimized and SEO-compliant web solutions.




- Manage multiple development streams and prioritize work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Leverage cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS for scalable deployments.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 7+ years in web development with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Optimizely CMS.
- Proficient in .NET Core, C#, MVC frameworks, and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of Optimizely products beyond CMS (e.g., Commerce, Campaign, Personalization, Experimentation).
- Experienced with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Optimizely CMS/Commerce Certification.
- Experience with headless commerce architectures.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting.
- Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and e-commerce best practices.
- Exposure to other CMS or commerce platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Adobe Commerce, Shopify) is a plus.
