Key Responsibilities:

- Procurement Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for project-specific materials and fabrication components.
- Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Evaluate technical and commercial requirements with Engineering and Project teams.
- Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new vendors for fabrication materials, fittings, and equipment.
- Maintain approved vendor lists and ensure vendor compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews.
- Purchase Execution
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quotation), compare techno-commercial offers, and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment conditions, and warranties.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requisitions.
- Follow up for order acknowledgment, dispatch, and delivery.
- Material Categories Handled
- Raw materials: Plates, pipes, flanges, fittings, forgings, fasteners, welding consumables, gaskets, valves.
- Bought-out items: Heat exchanger tubes, vessel internals, instrumentation items, electricals, structural steel, painting & insulation materials.
- Services: Fabrication subcontracting, machining, NDT, galvanizing, painting, and logistics.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Control, Stores,



and Project Management for technical clarifications and delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with codes such as ASME, ASTM, API, etc.
- Cost & Inventory Control
- Ensure optimal pricing and inventory levels to reduce project cost without compromising quality.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper purchase records, inspection reports, and vendor documents.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory norms, and audit requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 01–12 years (depending on role level) in procurement for fabrication of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Piping, or Skid Packages.
- Industry: Oil & Gas, EPC, Process Equipment Fabrication, Heavy Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with material codes (ASTM, ASME, DIN, IS).
- Understanding of fabrication drawings, MTOs, and BOMs.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, inspection, and testing requirements.
